In Passing, G.Raaff
One of the next pieces of art that i am dreaming to own, is a piece by Gabby Raaff, A local Cape Town-ian Artist who currently has work on at a show at Salon 91.
It is once again the negative space that i love so much, the white, the void. Her delicate strokes seem to effortlessly produce the shadows that create her vivid forms of people walking along a blank canvas, roof tops or beach umbrellas.
I find the simplicity of her walk somewhat dreamlike and very calming...
