Moments with Scarpa

These are some images that I took on my phone while visiting the work of Carlo Scarpa in Venice.I visited the Olivetti Showroom off St Mark's square, as well as one of Scarpa's most renowned projects, the Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Campo Santa Maria Formosa, now one of the most successful examples of modern architectural restoration in Venice.

I spent a few hours in there beautiful "Jewel boxes" where every line, intersection and detail was calculated, design and carried through to it's last corner and each plane compliments and continues the next. A beautiful and inspiring visit!
