Three days in the greater Kruger

R took me away for a blissful 3 nights in the Bush. We flew to Nelspruit and then hired a car and after a 4 hour drive, we were surrounded by the sounds and sights of real African game. We saw Elephants and Giraffe by the dozen, birds, zebra and a sighting of a Leopard, which was truly special, since these beautiful creatures have always eluded me. I can not describe how transporting and wonderful these few days were, falling asleep to the loud sounds of crickets and sipping on hot coffee in the back of an over-lander in the dewey early mornings. After only 3 days I felt relaxed, revitalised and inspired to draw again. The pictures are worth all and more than all the words I could type. We stayed at 3 very different and special lodges (which I will do posts on later) but, for now, these are a few snapshots of our magical excursion.
