I am currently on a serious budget- and on top of it all, everything seems to have got exponentially more expensive- Over night?
One of my favourite Saturday past times is to visit a few of the little boutique shops that I don't get round to in the week, all of them a little special, and usually offer a bargain, or the opportunity to create a "find".
They close at strange times and take a little more concentration and "browsing" time then your usual Mall offers. This Saturday, I heard there was a small sale at Mungo&Jemima- one of my favourites, and headed over to see if a top I had been coveting was part of their reduced items. After that I headed on my little "route" that takes me past my favourite Saturday stops, when I have the time.
Me, me, me. Some of my Saturday-Shop-Stops in the 'Burbs:
1. Mungo&Jemima
they have a beautiful Jewellery selection too, and because their clothes are locally made, I feel like I am contributing to our economy.
2. Hofmeyr Mills Auction
my all time Saturday favourite, where my morning can actually pass in a blur- beware- see information here
3. Deja Vu
I never leave without a special find, and I find browsing in this little shop very therapeutic, it's like a treasure hunt- see here.
5. Bargain Corner
Now this is a haberdashery, but it supplies the most beautiful collars, and I love browsing the tassels and the trinkets that hold the promise to embellish and enhance a normal T-Shirt, the possibilities are endless!
I usually swing past here, so that I can feel amazing about the "waiting to be restored" finds that I have purchased at the Auction!
