F o u r & T w e n t y . F a b u l o u s .

This weekend, the youngest of  "us three girls" invited her older siblings for a girls-only breakfast. The venue was decided as being the newest addition to Chelsea Village, Four &Twenty. This (not so) little patisserie opened its doors last week and joined the line of quaint little restaurants and shops on Chelsea's main drag. It shares its address with Cafe Verdi , Erawan (another one of my firm favourites) and InfinArt, to name a few.

The name is derived from the rhyme, "Four and Twenty Blackbirds baked in a pie..." and the concept is a beautifully decorated boutique cafe, that offers more then just your usual cafe fare. Along with a scrumptious selection of croissants, freshly baked breads, tarts and treats, its shelves are packed with home-made jams, preserves and delights- BUT- that's not all. There is a changing breakfast and Lunch menu that offers a selection of mouth-watering plated options, boasting only the finest and freshest ingredients du jour.    Delicious risottos, fresh Tuna when available and so much more.

Me, me, me - 10 reasons why I am so excited about this new spot:

1.White T&G paneling, bell glass Jars and Cerise Pink upholstery makes me feel happy.
2.There is a beautiful tea-cup chandelier hanging over the Parisian style pastry counter. I like this.
3.The pictures of the voluptuous Marilyn that adorne the walls, at last make me bite into the delicious treats   feeling like I'm simply creating similar Marilyn-like-curves!
4.They serve "smashed Avo" on a croissant- this is a huge plus on my list of restaurant needs.
5.The coffee is delicious.
6.There is a little outdoor section, private and quaint for sunny mornings.
7.One can sit at the window bar and people watch- one of my all-time favourite hobbies,
8.The owners wear Chef whites and the staff aprons are embroided.. ( I'm a details girl).
9.When I was there,  the sound of Edith Piaf wafted above the chatter of the Village Ladies.
10.I love that this place has opened in the burbs! Yay!!
