{ h a p p y f r i d a y }

It's the weekend... and it's my birthday weekend.... on Monday I'm turning 30!
Needless to say, I'm feeling slightly apprehensive, very pensive and a little excited.
 30
... what does that mean, what should I have achieved? What happens next?

{So this weekend I want to}

Sit under a big tree and have a simple lunch with close friends who
make me laugh and make me feel special. I want to take lots of photos to always
remember this.

I want to spend time with my family and my sisters in particular.

I am going to celebrate an old old friend's Big Fat Engagement Party

I am going to highlight my hair.

I am going to paint my nails

I am going to wear a pair of Louboutin's I have been saving for my 30th

I want to walk up a mountain with my sisters and talk to them all the way up and then all the
way down. I want to take a photo at the top and cheers to the next chapter.

I want to drink a bottle of Veuve with special people.

I want to cuddle, laugh, and sleep.

I want to feel settled and loved and happy

Have a wonderful weekend

  2. Happy Birthday!. As someone in their early 40's I have to tell you that the '30's' are a truly fabulous decade..... For most of us, we had discovered who we are, what we look like and what we like and had chosen to accept ourselves and get over comparing ourselves with others. We had married, had children and learned that life is less about career ambition and more about people.... It was a decade of realising that we are valuable for who we are not just about what we can do, a decade of accepting and enjoying who we are .....

    So I wish you a fabulous liberating 30's .... unless you did this in your 20's!!!!!!!
