A friend has recently begun a Blog, Taylored Reviews, it describes book and her thoughts on books she has read and enjoyed, she is from Zimbabwe and has a passion for books and home amongst other vices, such as cheese and wine!

She asked me to help a little with her banner that introduces her page. She wanted something that incorporated books, tea and Boabab trees. I put together the image above, i kind of wanted it to have a sort of "Alice in wonderland meets Zimbabwe" feel ,whimsicle and light, a little sketchy with some pops of colour.
We still need to work on it, and discuss some options, but this is draught number 1. I loke the sketched boabas and the butterfly that becomes real out of more styalized butterfly shadows. The background is a kind of demask pattern, in the same grey as the Boabab sketches... i think there needs to be more writting in the background, ive inroduced some to the right of the page, but perhaps more...
